THE NOMINATIONS for the 1996-1997 UNITER AWARDS were made by a selection JURY made up of the following critics: Cristina Dumitrescu, Florica Ichim and Constantin Paraschivescu

- Valeria Seciu for the part Mary Cavan-Tyrone in the show “Long Day’s Journey into Night” („Lungul drum al zilei catre noapte“), by Eugene O’Neill (Nottara Theatre)
- Mariana Mihut for the part Nikita Zotov in the show “Petru“, by Vlad Zografi (L.S.Bulandra Theatre)
